RETURNS & DISPUTE POLICY
Effective Date 5 July 2025
1. Overview
SealStream acts as a facilitator platform, introducing qualified buyers to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and enabling secure transactions via escrow account services. SealStream does not manufacture, stock, or deliver goods, and is not liable for product performance, delivery, or return. All returns and product-related disputes must be addressed directly between the buyer and the OEM. However, SealStream provides oversight and support where possible to ensure fair resolution.
2. Return Eligibility
Returns may be accepted by the OEM at their discretion, under the following general conditions:
- The item is faulty, defective, or materially different from what was ordered.
- The OEM's own return policy permits it.
- The buyer provides written notice within 7 days of receipt of goods.
SealStream does not accept returned goods under any circumstances.
3. How to Raise a Dispute
If you experience an issue, contact returns@sealstream.co.uk with:
- Order reference and delivery date.
- Description of the issue.
- Supporting photos or documentation.
- Preferred resolution (e.g. replacement, refund).
SealStream will log the dispute and forward it to the OEM with a request for review and response.
4. Role of SealStream
SealStream will:
- Assist in facilitating communication between buyer and OEM.
- Review the escrow account status if payment is pending.
- Offer technical opinion where appropriate (non-binding).
- Encourage commercial resolution, but does not act as arbitrator.
If goods are not yet confirmed as delivered, buyers may withhold payment from the escrow account until a resolution is agreed.
5. Limitations of Liability
SealStream does not:
- Guarantee that the OEM will accept a return.
- Offer refunds or replacements itself.
- Cover shipping costs or handling for returns.
- Accept liability for consequential loss or commercial damage.
6. Final Resolution
If a dispute cannot be resolved between the buyer and OEM:
- Legal action, if any, must be taken between those parties.
- SealStream may disengage from further facilitation if both sides are uncooperative or if fraud is suspected.
